GBP Academy is run by Google Business Profiles Product Expert Chris Andrews.
Chris has been active in the search engine optimization (SEO) industry for three decades.
In June of 2012, Google reached out to Chris to invite him to join the Google Product Experts program.
As a Google Product Expert, Chris has visited, met with Google staff, advocated for Google users, and attended conferences at Google headquarters in:

Chris was awarded the Google Product Expert Mentor of the Year Award in 2019 and 2022.
In 2022 Chris was also awarded Diamond Status, the highest status a Google Product Expert can achieve, for “providing users with outstanding help and education.”
On the Google product help forums, Chris has had more than 5000 posts marked as ‘best answer’ or ‘recommended’ by users and fellow Product Experts.
He is currently badged as a Product Expert in Google Business Profiles, Google Publisher Center, and Google News.
