Google Business Profile Eligibility
It’s important to understand that not all businesses qualify for a Google Business Profile.
To be eligible, you must serve your local area and see customers in person. Video calls don’t count as seeing a customer in person.
Online-only businesses do not qualify. It’s okay to have both in-person customers and also provide services/products online. But if you do all of your business online and do not see customers face-to-face, your business does not qualify.
Other ineligible businesses include:
- Vacation rental properties, model homes, apartments.
- Classes/meetings at a location you don’t represent.
- Lead generation businesses.
- Businesses with an address that is a PO box or off property mailbox.
Google also requires that the address for the profile is not a PO box or virtual office. You can not list a UPS store as your address.
In most cases, especially if you need to re-verify your profile, you will need to provide at least two pieces of evidence, such as a business license, corporate registration, tax documentation (sent to you from a government source) or utility bill, with a business name and address that matches your profile on them.
